Dominique & Lukasz both live in Scotland, with Dominique being born and raised in South Africa they chose South Africa as their Wedding location. Dominique wanted to introduce their friends and family to this part of the world (and what a beautiful part of the world Drakensberg is).
Dominique
My now husband and I decided to bring our closest European friends and family over to South Africa for our wedding in Drakensberg. I grew up in this beautiful country and wanted them to experience a touch of my life here. I am so pleased and incredibly happy with the whole day planned for our wedding our vendors made the day so relaxed and stress free. My husband and I didn’t feel as if we had to do anything, everything was under control and I left the day to the incredible people who made it as special as it was.
I remember when I first met Lukas, I was working at a holiday resort in Scotland as a receptionist and he came walking around the corner smiling from ear to ear, this handsome fine, young man that I instantly adored. He walked around the corner and in a cave man typical Polish accent shouted out, you be my wife. I burst out laughing and from that day on our love grew and many moments, months and years together to the day we joined our lives as one marrying in South Africa, my home country.
Dominique adores vintage and her favourite colour is peach Lukasz’s is green so they combined a peach and mint vintage theme, a little bit of both of them.
A word of thanks from the blushing bride.
We received our highlights video of our wedding and photos and I must say Lauren Oliver productions and Kate Martens photography captured every second of the day as we remember it, so incredible, so magical and blissful. Our friends who couldn’t make it to our wedding had tears of joy watching the video and went through a whole roller coaster of emotions and that was only the 2 minute highlights video!!! We were ourselves the whole day, Lauren and Kate were so good with their work naturally and they made the day fun and comfortable for us, we didn’t feel watched, as you would with someone filming the day, but instead we felt as if we were spending the day with close friends, chatting, laughing and drinking champagne, (of course I’m talking about myself, The bride to be). Champagne is guilty pleasure when getting ready for the most amazing and memorable day of your life. I cannot express enough thanks for all the work Lauren and her husband from Oliver twist productions and Kate Martens Photography did for us, they have impressed friends and family globally with their work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
